Inspirational Reading and Viewing icorating5.gif

Finally an applied art, science and philosophy of motorcycling magazine. You can tell that each article, advertisement and illustration was carefully conceived and produced to move us while experiencing it. Nothing against the other motorcycling magazines: they fill a critical commercial gap. This one just sails on a different sea.

Beautiful bikes with no distractions icorat5.gif

When it came in the mail my wife asked me why I bought a magazine (a rare occurrence for me). I told her it was for the pictures. She quickly flipped through, surprised to find only four women, fully clothed, tastefully shot, with no sign of that "Easyrider" porn rag vibe. Thanks for keeping the focus directly on the bikes and makers. This is what bike mags should all strive to emulate.

You know you got a good mag when you read it cover to cover before you put it down. Nice job. I used to be a printer before going into graphic art and online marketing and I gotta say between the writing and photos and the interesting people and subject matter, this thing has it all wrapped up in a sweet package. I can't wait for next issue, and thanks for recognizing the little things like the matte stock, good ink holdout and perfect bind. Kudos to your staff. -now if I can only get one of my bikes finished pretty enough to be an issue!

This one one helluva beautifully designed magazine. Great, thick quality paper. Epic typography. I went to school for design many moons ago. I should know, right?

  6. Excellent 5 Star Review

Worth keeping a few copies on hand, when power is not available (E.G. hanging in the old shop or garage) OK, digital can be convient but holding copy in your hand, smelling the ink and knowing short of theft, fire and dimentia that it's yours. Truly a great way to introduce someone that there's life beyond computers. Great job, keep the presses going.

  7. Truly entertaining! 5 Star Review

  8. If you can't get enough air, then nothing else matters 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st May 2015

We are often taught and challenged to work with people who are different than we are, who challenge our beliefs, and therefore help us learn and grow, bringing out the best in us. Looking back over 41 years of working in organizations I have learned that sometimes the opposite is true for me. I discovered that most of the work I have done that was meaningful and significant came out of an affectionate relationship with others on the team. This goes beyond the required professionalism of working with others; it was about the affection for others that comes from sharing some common purpose and ground. Perhaps by sharing a partial view of life in some way creates a congruence with others, in what otherwise sometimes could feel like a bitter and hopeless struggle. Iron and Air Magazine effectively captures a set of values, and a way of living well in an understated way as a common denominator for its subscribers.

  9. Quality content, quality print 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th May 2015

The articles are well written and well chosen for the readership. Photos and artwork is really well done.

  10. The End of Road Test Fatigue 5 Star Review

Iron and Air is where you go when you don't give a rat's ass about what supersport just spanked some other supersport's ass by.0000725 of a second. Iron and Air is where you go when passion and joy trump new and improved graphics.

Iron and air is simply the best motorcycle / internal combustion lifestyle magazine I've read in my more than half a century of scooting. I signed on for a year and like it so much that i signed on for another two.
